Posted: 19th December 2019Brave schoolgirl Molly Rogers is hoping she receives a warm woolly hat for Christmas after having her hair shaved off for charity.
The Year 10 student at Burnt Mill Academy was keen to Brave the Shave to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.
In front of a room full of her peers, the teenager went under the scissors and donated her locks to the Little Princess Trust.
She said: “I was not expecting there to be this many people here supporting me.
“My whole life I have been surrounded by people with cancer, including my older brother. I decided to do this after seeing so many people going through it.
“It feels like a relief to finally do it as it’s something I’ve been wanting to do for so long.”
Molly has so far raised £535 for the cause.
Cherelle Coe, of Sweeny Todds in Harlow, gave Molly her new haircut.
