West End trip brings studies to life
Posted: 28th July 2022Drama studies were brought to life as students took a trip to the West End.
A group of 40 Year 7 students watched Les Misérables in London.
The reward trip tied in with their studies on the play in their drama lessons.
Drama teacher Ella Brady said: “We are looking at the performing text drama scheme of work so it was a great opportunity for students to see real actors performing the text they are rehearsing and exploring in lessons.
“The children thoroughly enjoyed their trip to the theatre. For a lot of them, it was their first experience of going to the West End to see a show. They were mesmerised by the stunning set and the incredible performers, leaving them inspired and excited for their upcoming performance assessments in drama later on in the term.”
